For a journalist, covering a race at Monza usually involves flying to Milan, renting a small Fiat, and driving to the circuit on the edge of the city. We’ve touched down instead in Munich, where we’ll drive an Opel about 20 miles to the nondescript town of Landshut. There, in an equally unmemorable building, we find three of the most successful racing drivers in the world qualifying for the first round of the Blancpain GT Series World Championship.
