That’s Not the Roar of the Crowd Ripping Through Clark and Addison These Days

Just a week after the ceremonial groundbreaking for the Clark and Addison mixed-use project across the street from Wrigley Field (1060 West Addison Street), demolition crews are breaking all sort of things.  Like walls, and floors, and columns.

Near North Spy Tim caught the action and batted the photos above and below through our tip line.

When complete, Clark and Addison will have 148 apartments and 150,000 square feet of retail space.  It was designed by friends-of-the-blog SCB for M&R Development.  One hundred fifty thousand square feet sounds like a lot of space, but that’s because the first retail tenant is going to be a ten-screen movie theater.  It remains to be seen whether the Cubs or the theater will charge more for a hot dog.
