Just a couple of days ago we told you that the hyper-lux condo pile going up at 9 West Walton Street was given permission to climb an extra two stories.

Now Gold Coast Spy Brian has deposited a photo in our tip line showing how far the building is progressing. Right now it looks like it’s about even with the amenities deck at 10 East Delaware, across the street. That would put it right about six stories tall. Only 31 more to go!

When finished, JDL Development’s No.9 Walton will total 37 stories and 456 feet tall. It was designed by Hartshorne Plunkard Architecture, and as we reported a year ago, James Letchinger, the head of JDL, says he’s splashing out for all the finest finishes because he intends to live there, himself. But that doesn’t mean you can knock on his door at 4am to plunge your toilet. He’ll probably have people for that.
