Next To Nothing Happening With New Apple Store, But We’ll Take It

The design of the new Michigan Avenue Apple Store has virtually all of the space below Pioneer Court, so it’s not surprising that there’s not too much to see when passing by on the 151 bus. So you’ll excuse our enthusiasm when the following blip appeared on the EEG:

401 N. Michigan Ave.
Permit issued for renovation/alteration
REVISION TO FOUNDATION ONLY PERMIT #100627529 FOR PROPOSED 1- STORY RETAIL SPACE WITH BASEMENT TO INCLUDE UNDER STRUCTURE MEP WORK.

Like we said, it’s virtually nothing. But not absolutely nothing. It’s an indication that the Apple Store at 401 North Michigan Avenue is alive, and that progress is being made. Some days, for some projects, that’s all we need.
