It’s Soil Sampling, Not Site Prep, But Still Progress on the Vista

The rumbling going on in Lakeshore East right now isn’t the echoes of work being done on skyscrapers across the river in Streeterville.  It’s soil sampling happing at the future site of the Wanda Vista Tower, 375 East Wacker Drive.

Eagle-eyed Loop Spy Jon tucked a photograph of the work (above) into our tip line a few minutes ago, and below you can see pictures from our friends at Building Up Chicago.

We’ve shown you soil sampling for the Vista Tower here before.  Back on May 11th, and again on May 23rd.  It’s a complex building, with starchitect Jeanne Gang’s brand on the front, and bKL Architecture working quietly behind the scenes.

The most important thing is that it’s progress.  As The Music Man famously didn’t say, “Progress with a capital P, and that rhymes with V, and that stands for Vista!”
