2016 Volkswagen Passat 1.8T Automatic: A Naturalized German Losing Its Accent


Change is the universal constant in the car biz, the pace is accelerating, and those who can’t keep up are likely to find themselves marginalized. Which brings us to the 2016 Volkswagen Passat, which is not—as it might appear at first glance—just a carbon copy of the sedan that has been in VW showrooms since 2012. From the windshield forward, all the sheetmetal and the four-bar grille are new.
