Proposed Project on Primo Plot to be Presented to Pols

Another prime South Loop property is going from parking lot to student housing.  The new residential tower proposed for 1136 South Wabash Avenue is scheduled to be introduced to the Chicago Plan Commission this week.  The location is less than half a block off of Roosevelt Road, and as you know, the intersection of Roosevelt and anything is primo terra firma.  Especially when it’s so close to Lake Michigan that on a moody spring morning you can watch the fog roll in.

1136 is the baby of CA Ventures, the prolific developer of student housing across the country, but particularly in downtown Chicago.  The design of the 26-story tower is from friends-of-the-blog, SCB.
