A month ago, we told you demolition crews were on their way to tear down the a couple Huron Street buildings constructed back in the 1800s.
We weren’t lying.
4 East Huron is already a flat, empty lot. 8 East Huron has what appears to be only minor damage along the roof line. Until you look in the back. Then it’s clear: This building won’t be gone in days. It will be gone in hours.
Why? A 26-story residential building designed by Valerio Dewalt Train Associates, that’s why. CA Ventures is developing the tower, though little is known at this point as far as number of units, and if they’ll be apartments or condos.
We shot some photos of the destruction, but to the squeamish, be warned: 8 East Huron has been laid wide open. The pictures aren’t for the faint of heart.
