Slice of Life: Now Entering Wolf Point West

Wolf Point West opens

The lights are on; people must be home!

We love new construction here at Chicago Architecture. We love the milestones all those new projects reach. The groundbreaking ceremonies. The tower crane arrivals. The glass! Oh, the installation of glorious glass.

And while all that is unarguably cool, you may think nothing tops the topping-out. But one event does.

Nothing is more rewarding, after watching the process from community meeting to the final landscaping details, than watching Chicagoans move into their brand-spankin’-new residential towers. And that makes this a very big week in the life of Wolf Point West.

Wolf Point West opens

Don’t let that Chicago Riverwalk crane fool you; Wolf Point West is open for business. And living.

We kept our distance so as not to appear creepy, but we were there in spirit as the first denizens of the bKL Architecture-designed tower at the bend in the Chicago River started hauling Ikea bookcases and Keurig coffeemakers into their new digs. We don’t have word yet on how many are in, and how many units have been spoken for, but we do know this: Suddenly, all those people are now in possession of some of the finest views in all the land. Are you one them? Show us! Show us all! We’d love to see what you see.

Hit us up on Twitter (@chicagoarchitec) or Facebook or Instagram (@ChicagoArchitectureInfo) and let us live vicariously through you and your new elevated existence.
