Slice of Life: Christmas Crane on the Hudson

The Christmas crane at The Hudson

Tis the holiday season. And while everyone in town trims their trees, there’s always that one home on the block looking to outdo the rest of the neighborhood. And in the River North neighborhood, that would be Onni Contacting. You may have thought you had the tallest Christmas tree in town, but that must have been before you looked down Chicago Avenue at Hudson. For it is there, towering high above the street (actually, a couple streets – the thing is the length of the entire block) that Onni has festooned their tower crane like something straight out of “Tron”.

Forget the Big Red Crane that dominated the Chicago River between Lake and Randolph this summer, and behold the Giant Blue Crane at The Hudson!
