Homewood Suites/Hampton Inn Begins Stocking New Glassware

No, we haven’t been given special access to the hospitality services at the new combination Homewood Suites/Hampton Inn going up at 108 North Jefferson Street in the West Loop. But what’s clear to anyone passing by are the new windows that have been installed along the building’s 6th (5th?) floor.

While differing slightly from the all-glass facades of so many Chicago structures being built, glass is glass here at Chicago Architecture, and something we always look forward to in the life of the city’s construction boom.

When completed, the 23-story hotel combo will add 338 guest rooms to the area between the Chicago River and the Kennedy Expressway, where condos and apartments run rampant, but hotels are sparse.
